You Better is a dance experience centered around world history’s first known author (Enheduanna, a woman from 2300 B.C. Mesopotamia). How does this help challenge us to live-with — & dance-with — each other to “stay with the trouble”of our present?
I worked as the Associate Costume Designer for this production. I built all of the costumes, 7 in total. I also was in charge of designing the costume for one of the dancers, Luce, who performed on roller skates! Their look was heavily inspired by Mesopotamian Goddesses and features a hand woven fringe bolero.
